Jane GREATall

Researching Jane Goodall is so nice because she seems to be so humble and centered and cares about only important things. The only "scandal" I could find on her was a little plagiarism incident (whoops Jane). That being said, her contributions to science and society seem to start so simply. Going to Tanzania at the age of 26 with no college degree she was determined to learn and befriend the chimpanzees of the Gombe National Park. It took her years to be trusted even a little by the chimps, and her patience and unique way of studying ethology allowed for her to make discoveries necessary for understanding chimpanzees and humans as relatives.
She's inspiring as a current activist and continues to travel, approx 300 days of the year (!), and spreads her knowledge and kindness around the world. What a boss.
